Summer
is coming
After a whole week’s hard work, I finally
deserve two days of rest. Of course, the most important thing is to sleep. When
I knew that I was not going to have tennis practice on Friday, I slept from 4
pm all the way to 8 pm. Then, I woke up and ate some noodles for dinner, and I
decided to complete the challenge for the day. At that time, I couldn’t think
about anything else except go to sleep. Therefore, I decided to learn the word “to
sleep” in French. “To sleep” in French is “Dormir”, and it’s like the word “Dormitory”
in English. It’s easy to memorize, isn’t it? Dormitory is where we sleep, and
that’s why “to sleep” is called “Dormir” in French. After finish my challenge
of the day, I went directly to bed after brushing teeth.
When I opened my eyes, it was already 12 pm
at noon on Saturday. I woke up not because of I wanted to woke up; it was
because I was burning hot at that time. I was almost sweating, and I didn’t
know why. The first thought bumped into my mind was: Is something on fire!?
After glancing around into the peaceful little room that was full of sunlight,
I realized that the temperature was really high because of the sun. The fearful
thought about the “fire” thing disappeared right away after I checked the
weather report. The weather report showed that it was 24 degrees Celsius. “Hahaha!
Spring finally came!” I burned out laughing. Didn’t want to waste the beautiful
sunlight, my friend and I decided to go out and take some pictures for the nice
spring. However, the decision about “take photos for spring” finally ended up
with “ take a lot of selfies in the spring”. At the end of the day, I decided
to learn “Selfie” in another language. In Hungarian, “Selfie” is “Maga”. Isn’t
the pronunciation cute?
Sundays
are always for study and get well prepared for next week by doing homework. However,
when I was doing my homework in the library, I saw many people were hanging out
in the nice sunlight. I stated to daydreaming about my summer vacation: warm
weathers, nice sunlight, and beautiful beach. I want my summer vacation badly!
However, before summer vacation, I have to take SAT, Toefl, and my final exams.
When even thinking about it, I was freaking out and woke up in a bad daydream.
After the daydream, I wanted to learn how to say “summer” in another language. “Summer”
in Finnish is “kesä”. It actually sounds like kissa! Another cute word!
