The summery of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a musical comedy conceived by Rebecca Feldman. It takes place in the Putnam Valley Middle School, and it has six adolescents compete in the spelling bee which run by three equally grown-ups. The musical was based upon C-R-E-P-U-S-C-U-L-E, an original improvisational play created by Rebecca Feldman. The story is basically talking about an eclectic group of six-graders arrives at the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, each eager to win for very different reasons. Sweet and shy Olive brings only her best friend (the dictionary) with her to the bee; Bold and hyper allergic speller William Barfee uses his “magic foot” to propel him to greatness; former champion Chip is struggling with his burgeoning puberty; easily distracted Leaf is unconvinced that he’s smart enough to be a challenger; overachiever Marcy is disappointed by her consistent success; and politically aware Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre only wants to impress her gay dads. In hilarious, touching, and catchy songs, each speller reveals his/her hopes, struggles, and passions as they make their way through the competition. With an engaging, tuneful score by William Finn and a sweet, funny book by Rachel Sheinkin, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee causes audiences to fall in love, both with the show itself and its “perspicacious,” “jocular,” and “effervescent” spellers. I think that this show is going to be fantastic and interesting to watch after reading the summary of the play, and I hope that the show is going to be successful. I look forward to watch the play that performs by our Cheshire Academy students.

Gregory, the Cat

Gregory, the Cat

Gregory is a lovely Persian cat of mine. He has pride and grace; he looks like a dancer when he slowly lifts and lowers each paw, and that’s how he walks. His pride, however, has nothing to do with his appearance, for most of the time he stays inside watching television and growing fat. He is mad with TV commercials, especially the commercials about Meow Mix and 9 Lives. Although he likes watching cat food commercials, he hates some kids of cat food; the only thing he wants is the most expensive cat food. The visitors are as picky as what he eats to Gregory. While being friends with some people, he hates those who are not his friends. He may snuggle up against your ankle, begging to be petted, or he may act evil and bite you. The purpose for Gregory to do the actions is not to establish his territory, as many cat experts think, but to humiliate me because he feels jealous of my friends. After my guests have departed, I look at the adorable old fleabag snoozing and smiling to himself in front of the TV, and I would forgive him for the obnoxious, but endearing, performances he acts.

Song lyrics

i read your note and i know just what you want to hear.
it hurts less over time, but i'm not getting stronger i just leave pieces behind.
i can only fall so many times before i'm broke, unrecognizable.
now all i've left to give is the piece that still remains.
and you bring the pieces back, love it only reconstructs the pain.
as time fails to elapse i'm finding you were everything to me.
now my future and past are ending tragically the same

In class writing

      Outside the classroom
According to a magazine, about 39% of the students who got perfect grades in school failed when they enter the real world. This is shocking news that  proves us the knowledge we learn from classroom is far not enough for students to succeed in the real world. Right now, more and more schools tend to have class in a museum, or use other kind of forms to teach students knowledge and experiences of life outside the classroom. Therefore, I disagree with the plan that Cheshire academy is going cancel all the field trips in order to save money.
"Cheshire Academy is a college-preparatory school in Connecticut that challenges high school students in grades eight through twelve and PG to discover and hone their unique talents outside the classroom. " This is a description of Cheshire academy that I found on its home page. I believe that Cheshire academy would disobey its description if they cancel the all the filed trips. How would the students discover and hone their unique talents outside the classroom if they canceled all the field trip? I would really doubt the school and worry about my kids if I'm a parent of a student who goes to Cheshire academy.
Last year, when I was a sophomore of Cheshire academy, I went to a filed trip with my art class. We visited an art museum and saw all the fancy and created paintings. Although I had saw many famous paintings in art magazines and on the internet before, this was the first time I had all the real paintings in front of me. We were so close that I could feel the art's atmosphere is all around me. I'd never have this kind of feeling before, and I felt that all the famous artists and painters were standing right beside me and explain me what the meanings and stories behind their paintings were. I felt like I was nurturing by these artists and painters that my levels in art increased enormously. I would never learn and experience it in classroom by the lectures of the teachers. It was a pleasant time in the museum that I wish I could I have more chances like that.
I believe students would definitely gain a lot of  knowledge and experiences that they are not able to learn in the classroom. A filed trip is the best form of learning that can substitute a lecture in the classroom. All in all, I disagree with Cheshire academy's plan. Canceling field trips is neither a wise choose for students to learn, nor to save money.

A friendly clown

On the right side of my dresser, a waggish toy clown is lying on a tiny unicycle – I received this gift last Christmas from a close friend. The clown's short yellow yarn hair covers its ears. Around the blue eyes, are the cute dark eyelashes. Under the cherry-red cheeks, nose, and lips, is a joyful smile. A fancy white necklace is hanging on its neck. The clown also dress a red and blue costume. The left side of the outfit has a color of light blue, and the right side is color red. The light blue left side and the red right side of the outfit make a obvious contract. The two colors form a line that separates the toy clown. The white spokes on the wheel of the unicycle are in the center and go to the black tire so that the wheel sort of looks like the inner half of a grapefruit. In the center of the unicycle, the white spokes on the wheel attach to the black tire that makes the wheel similar to the inner half of a grapefruit.  enjoy looking at the clown. Every time I enter to my room, the colorful figure would smile at me, and it reminds of my best friend. How friendly my toy clown is!

My favorite twist stories
We were writing about the twist story these past weeks in our writing class. The first twist story that I like is my own twist story. The thing that I like the best about my story is the plot of my story. It’s pretty shock about the plot because the ending of my story is quite unbelievable. The whole story of mine is immersing in a scary condition at first since my descriptions about my dream and the man in my dream gave readers a hint that the story is going to be really frightened. Because it was just a dream, I woke and glanced around in a dark room. Then, I describe the darkness in my room, and I saw something in the darkness in my room. The “man” I saw who was floating in my room looked like the same exact person as in my dream. After I described the appearance of the man in the darkness, I decided to see what the man looks like. The situation right now should be really nervous and horrify because the switch is near where the man was standing. Finally, I turned on the light, but saw my bathrobe and my hat were hanging in front of me. The ending of my story is a turning point of my story.
The second twist story that I like is Amanda’s story. The thing that I like the best about her story is a lot of detailed descriptions in her story. Her story was similar to mine but with more descriptions of her insight. She described how scared she felt when all her roommates were sleeping while she saw the “face”. She uses a lot of figurative languages to describe her felling. She also wrote about her sweat in her hand. It’s detailed enough and showed how nervous she was at that time.

My third favorite twist story is Sophia’s story. Her plot was different than mine but I think it’s pretty funny to read. She wrote about she went out with her father in a cold windy day. Then, she used a pretty lengthy paragraph to describe how cold she was at that time, but her father on the other hand wears like a polar bear. Her father began to ask her if she cold or not and does some actions that make her felt like he was going to take off his clothes and give it to her. She was imaging the bright image when her father takes off his clothes and put it on her shoulder. However, after all these imaginations about her father, he was actually zipping up his zip to make himself feeling warmer instead of taking care his daughter. At last, Sophia’s heart was broken because of her father’s reaction in this cold windy winter day.
