Time flies
Only two weeks left until summer vacation. Good time always pass really fast than people’s expectations. This year, I felt that the my writing has improved a lot unconsciously while writing blogs and doing the thirty-day challenge. I did not just simply improved on my grammar and efficiency of writing, but on my persistence of doing things by writing blogs and completing the thirty-day challenge.

The of writing can really be improved by practice writing. Before this year’s writing class, I would spend about an hour to write a 500 words essay. Writing an essay was like climbing a mountain to me, both tired and unwilling to me. I’m not saying that writing an essay is like a piece of cake for me right now, but it indeed improved on the time for me to write. I can finish a five hundred words essay in about thirty minutes. The most helpful assignment for me is the thirty-day challenge we had to write every other day. It was a serious challenge for me as a junior, but I was shocked after finishing the last blog post within 30 minutes. The improvement on the efficiency of writing an essay is not just simply means I increased the speed of writing, but also the quality of writing.
The thing that bothered me the most while doing the thirty-day challenge was that I had nothing to write, and my topics were limited. At first, I only talked about some daily stuff, which was kind of boring to read. When I looked back to my writing, I even wrote about the food I ate. Who would want to know about what kind of food I ate… Then, my topics expanded when I was doing the 30-day challenge. Since I have to write 500 words every other day, there was not that much to talk about things that happened every day. I began to talk about life, thoughts on a specific events, and things that more abstruse than daily incidents. In addition, my usage of grammar became much better than the beginning of this class. I used to say that “It’s a French song and the melody is bright.” However, since there are two separate sentences in it, so I have to connect them with a comma to prevent a run-on sentence. I'm glad that I finally could spend only 30 minutes to write a 500 words writing that is pretty interesting, and decreased most of my grammar mistakes I would made in the beginning of this class.

The fantastic play—“Bone Chiller”
“Bang…” With a roar across the sky, the thunder totally woke me up and scared me. The thunder was like a warning bell to remind people that the play has started. I always enjoy watching a play because I feel brilliant that people who are acting the play just standing right in front of me. Different from TV shows or movies, you would feel like you are involved while watching a play. However, here is a question for you: Have you ever been scared by watching a play? For the first time, I did, but I still enjoyed being scared by the sound effect because the play “Bone Chiller” was a really funny and fantastic play.
The Play “bone Chiller” talked about a story about a rich man’s anagrammatic will after his death. However, the story was not just simply talked about how people solved his rebus. In stead, two people were killed while solving his rebus. There were thirteen people in the play who tried to solve the rich men’s rebus including the killer. Finally, it turned out that it was the lawyer who was the killer. It was a play both scaring and funny. I literally died because watching the play. People’s screaming and the sound effects scared me to death, and the actors’ personalities and lines laugh me to death. However, I was still confused about the definitions of some words in their lines, and they all talked really fast so that it was hard for me to follow sometimes.
The students at Cheshire Academy who were acting in the play did a really good job. I admire and shocked by their acting skills, and the efforts they put into the play. How were they able to memorize those long lines? Especially Andrew (who acted as Jerry in the play, he is an expert of solving rebus.), as an international student, he must be very dedicated and obsessed to the play so that he was able to memorize all the lines and perfectly acted them out.
Besides the professional actors, the settings, lighting effects, and sound effects were all absolutely fantastic and fancy. I love the chandelier that hangs right on the man’s ceiling since it shows that the man was a fairly rich person before his death. In addition, the man was a collector of animal specimens, so the decoration of the room contains many animal specimens. The paintings of the room were all very creepy but vivid.

All in all, the play was really excited and I would definitely recommend you to watch it! I always dream about to become an actor someday, but on the other hand I would be shy while talking in front of people. Therefore, I really admire their courage and acting skills on the stage, and hope I could be one of them someday.
