Dear, Ms. Guarino:
I'm so sorry that I didn't hand in my homework today during class. Here is an excuse for why I missing my homework.
Yesterday, I was in my dorm, and I thought about begin doing my homework. I was going to grab my backpack because that's where all my homework were. However, sometimes things aren't meant to be. Suddenly, the ground was shaking horridly.
I thought it was an earthquake at first, but I was wrong. I noticed that only the building I live in was shaking badly when I looked out the window. Then, the ground where my backpack was began to split. I was shocked and stood there like frozen.
"No! " I was screaming madly when I saw my backpack falling in to the hole where the ground had split. Finally, the building stopped shaking, and the ground went back to normal.
Only one thing had gone because of the disaster. I had no choice, but came to class without my homework.
Sorry again for missing all my homework!
Hope you will forgive me because of the tragedy I had been through.
Nina
